Bacteria cause infection, and it goes deep into the skin. In this condition, acne can be red and painful. Scars caused by inflammatory acne can be profound.

   

• Nodular/ Cystic Acne:

  Nodular and cystic kinds of acne can give you permanent scars. In nodular and cystic acne, pores grow large. The area around your skin may be swollen. Bacteria, sebum, and dead skin cells form prominent nodules. Such acne is painful, hard to treat, and scars formed by this acne are permanent.
