Since early teens I was fascinated by the idea of becoming an airhostess. Over and above my passion for travelling was the reason which made this feeling of becoming air hostess even stronger. I have a good height, super figure and good facial features too but puberty was very unfair with me. I thought of popping the hardly visible pimple and now my face was in a hot mess. My face looked like a moon with craters on it with the scars left after breakouts. Acne did not spare any corner and lived all over my face. It was quite hard for me to go in somewhere where the majorities were boys. At that age, the boys were quite vocal about what they thought of my looks. My mother and I visited a dermatologist and I was given some creams and one tablet which I had to consume once a day for 15days. In the first 15days my skin was absolutely clear and my happiness knew no bounds. I visited my doctor again and he asked me to continue the medications for next 3months. After a month again I saw a breakout but did not dare to pop it as my past experience was horrifying. But all the pimples which had settled returned and once again my face was full of acne.  I told my treating doctor and he said that it would settle but it did not. I lost my trust in that doctor and as a final resort visited a Homeopathic doctor in my area. The doctor took an entire case study and prescribed homeopathic medicine with an appropriate diet. I was asked to do a pelvic sonography to rule out any hormonal problems but Thank God I did not have one. My homeopathic doctor explained me that acne was very common at this age and every possible triggering factor needs to be ruled out so that the homeopathic medicines could even help if I suffered of any hormonal issues which cause acne and it would never return. After a month the existing acne settled and unlike allopathy they did not return for next 1 year. I was very happy and got admission in the best air hostess training academy and now I fly with the world’s best Airlines.

A small input on Acne

Acne is a disease which affects the skin’s oil glands. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows. Acne is generally seen on the face but few could get acne on back, chest, neck and shoulders too. People of all races get acne but it is more common among teenagers and young adults. Some people in their 40’s and fifties could also get acne. Most common type of acne is seen as whiteheads, blackheads, small pink bumps on face which sometimes could have pus within it. Large cyst type acnes are deep, painful and filled with pus. During puberty, both boys and girls produce high levels of androgens, the male sex hormones that include testosterone. Testosterone signals the body to make more sebum, the oil produced in the skin's oil glands. Excess sebum clogs the oil gland and a pimple grows. Bacteria could grow in these clogged follicles which cause pus, the most common bacteria is Propionibacterium acnes. Other reasons could be starting or stopping birth control pills, hormonal changes during pregnancy, PCOS, certain type of medicines, usage of low quality greasy cosmetics and Stress.

Homeopathic Treatment for Acne

Homeopathic treatment for acne patients is much different from conventional methods of treatment. Homeopathic treatment focuses on the patient as a person, as well as the underlying pathological condition. Homeopathic medicines are selected after detailed case-analysis, which include the medical history of the patient, their physical and mental makeup. Homeopathy not only treats the disease but also takes care of other factors for example PCOS which is the most common cause of acne in females. There different medicines in homeopathy for acne depending on the individual case and nature of complaints. Seeking help from a professional homeopath for treatment of acne always proves beneficial. Scarring of the skin is also prevented with homeopathic medicine making your skin look aesthetically beautiful.
