Anand Arnold’s story shows the power of courage and determination. Born into a middle-class family in Punjab, India, Anand discovered a love for bodybuilding at a young age. His family supported his passion, watching proudly as he worked hard to grow stronger each day. But life had a big challenge in store for him that no one could have expected.

When he was 15, Anand was diagnosed with spinal cancer. Surgery saved his life, but it left him paralyzed from the waist down. He spent three difficult years bedridden, adjusting to life with this major change. Yet, with his family’s encouragement and his own determination, Anand decided to keep going. He didn’t let his disability stop him. Instead, he set his sights on a new goal: to become a bodybuilder once again. This decision was a turning point in Anand’s life.

With hard work and relentless training, Anand achieved what seemed impossible—he became India’s first wheelchair bodybuilder. Over the years, he went on to win many titles, including Mr. India (Wheelchair Bodybuilding), Mr. Punjab, and eventually, the prestigious Mr. World title in wheelchair bodybuilding.
